Step-by-Step Guide to Syncing Diversion with Artstash
Follow these instructions to connect your Diversion repository to a new Artstash project.
Prerequisites:
- An active Artstash account.
- An active Diversion account with a project repository.
- You must be inside your Diversion workspace to begin.
1. Create a New Project in Artstash
To get started, navigate to your main dashboard in Artstash. Here, you'll see an overview of your existing projects. Click the "Create Project" button to open the new project setup wizard.
2. Configure the Sync Source
In the setup window, you'll be prompted to select where your files are located.
- Click on the "Sync Source" dropdown menu and choose "Diversion."
- In the "Project Name" field, enter a name for your project. It's good practice to use the same name as your Diversion repository to keep things organized (e.g., "Dragonella World").
3. Authenticate Your Diversion Account
To securely connect to your files, Artstash needs an API token from your Diversion account.
- Navigate to your account settings within the Diversion application to generate a new API token.
- Copy the generated token.
- Return to Artstash and paste the token into the "API Token" field.
4. Select Your Repository and Branch
With your account authenticated, Artstash will display a list of your available Diversion repositories.
- From the "Repository" dropdown, select the specific project you want to sync.
- Next, choose the desired branch from that repository to sync.
5. Monitor the Synchronization
After confirming your selections, Artstash will immediately begin the synchronization process. You will see a status update as Artstash indexes your files, generates previews, and extracts metadata. The time this takes will depend on the size of your repository.
Once the process is complete, you can click on the project to browse your entire repository visually, preview any file without downloading it, and start collaborating with your team directly within Artstash.
